IFA Administrator

JSS Search are partnered with a boutique Financial Advisory Firm based in Central London.

After a period of high growth they looking to add ambitious staff to the team to help them develop and grow. They are looking for an experienced Administrator who wants to quickly develop their career, gain managerial experience and progress to become a chartered Financial Adviser over the next 3-5 years.

What You'll be Doing

  • Assisting the Financial Adviser with the day to day running of their business, helping come up with efficient processes, ensuring that they are compliant with FCA regulations / Consumer Duty and that his clients are receiving an exceptionally service throughout the course of the financial year.
  • Reaching out to existing clients to book them in for their Annual Review / Progress Reviews, joining the adviser in the meetings if required, completing post meeting notes and actions e.g. fund switches, risk profile changes, completing progress reports and updating CRM to ensure all information is up to date.
  • Cashflow modelling - helping build out the clients financial plan by using existing cashflow model software which allows for the client to visualise their financial journey, ensuring that they have enough capital when they reach various capital events - purchasing forever home, downsizing, retirement, helping kids on the property ladder / through education, inheritance tax planning.
  • Writing Suitability Reports for new business - the administrator will be expected to build files so that the existing Paraplanner can write the suitability reports, then overtime, the administrator will be expected to write suitability reports for simple investment and protection cases and then move on to more complexes pieces of advice.
  • Joining the Adviser in the meetings with new clients, ensuring that all the objectives are recorded and followed up with proposal documents to be sent to prospective clients.
  • Contacting providers for information requests and making enquiries about moving money from providers.
  • Cover emails and any communications when the adviser is on holiday or in meetings and ensuring that any queries are managed in a timely manner.
  • Helping with new clients coming on board and ensuring the CRM systems are up to date and they align with all the other systems so data is accurate and compliant.
  • Expected to complete Level 4 qualifications within 2 years of joining the firm and then move towards Chartered Status once Level 4 has been completed.

Who We'd Like to Meet

  • At least 1 years' experience in an Administration role
  • Experience in the Financial Planning industry desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Energy, drive, and resilience who can work in an agile, fast paced environment and answer quickly to business needs
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for organisation, process and reporting
