The Role

Thanks to our innovative products and great team, we are proud that the business is continuing to grow, we now have an opportunity for a Laboratory Technologist to join our professional R&D team based in Yate, Bristol. The successful candidate will be working as part of a laboratory-based team, responsible for the formulation of new products, enhancement of existing products, and provision of technical support for our customers and the Manufacturing, Sales, and Product Management functions of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the lab team to test, analyse and present findings in an accessible and accurate format
  • Carrying out testing of samples, products and raw materials to defined standards
  • Dealing with new product formulation activities, existing product enhancements, raw material approvals and customer complaints
  • Follow all relevant procedures safely and effectively, performing all appropriate tasks within agreed timescales and standards
  • Ensuring that all data is recorded accurately and is updated on a regular basis
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to progress projects
  • Application of own scientific knowledge in problem solving situations

Qualifications / Experience Critical for the Job Holder

  • Good verbal, organisational and written communications skills
  • Minimum 5 GCSE (A*-C / 4+) with emphasis on science subjects and A Levels in Chemistry/Biology/Physics or related discipline. Degree in Science related subject preferable but not essential
  • Competent in the use of MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to work both alone or as part of a team and to complete work to set deadlines
  • A good level of competency for practical activities
  • Current driver's license would be advantageous, but not essential
