Job Title: Assistant Team Manager (Children's Looked After Team)
Location: Pity Me, Durham County Council
Salary: £35 per hour
Job Type: Temporary/Contract
Durham County Council is seeking an Assistant Team Manager to join our Children's Looked After Team. This role is vital in supporting the Team Manager and ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children in our care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing performance, advising, guiding, and developing our social workers.
Responsibilities:
- Hold a reduced caseload of children in care to provide intensive support and ensure their needs are met.
- Assist the Team Manager in managing team performance, providing supervision and support to social workers.
- Guide and develop social workers through co-working, providing advice, and conducting training sessions.
- Aid in writing assessments and reports to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness.
- Work flexibly between home and office, with the expectation of being office-based at least 1-2 times a week.
- Enjoy free parking and a convenient location next to the Arnison Centre.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered with Social work England
- A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
- Right to WorkEnhanced
- DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
- Strong ability to write clear, accurate, and comprehensive assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
