Billing Clerk

Company Overview

You will be joining a leading specialist Commercial Law Firm as their Billing Clerk on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit team of 3 in finance, you will be reporting into the Practice Manager who will be there to support your transition into the business from day one. Based in their brand new offices in Central London 5 days a week for the first 3 months (until probation is passed), you will then have the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week, in line with the company's hybrid working model.

Role Responsibilities

In your new role, you will be responsible for raising invoices, raising credit notes, producing statement of accounts, handling high-volume finance queries, escalating issues and supporting with ad-hoc reporting requirements.

Role Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and ideally you will be coming from a Legal or Professional Services background. You will be a proactive, enthusiastic, engaging and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. You will have an outstanding work ethic and a high level of accuracy, with excellent numerical skills and a passion for solving problems. You will possess the ability to work well as part of a small, close-knit team but also be confident working independently. You will be competent with the use of Excel to an intermediate level and be a quick learner who can pick up new systems in an efficient manner. You will be a mature individual who can communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the business.

In Return

You will receive an annual salary of up to £35,000 (depending on experience) and this will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will be joining a prestigious, well-established and very highly regarded firm that has impressive growth plans for the near future and this will likely lead to progression opportunities for you. The team are incredibly close-knit, friendly and supportive, and they will be there to support you transition/onboarding into the business. You will have the option to work from home 1 day a week, once your 3 month probation has been passed.
