  • Rate £475-550 Inside IR35 depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team, working on key Technology functions within a prestigious organisation with a rich history. The role involves end-to-end accountability for the management of one or more Technology-related projects, focusing on "Bulk Delivery" and "Specialist Services". This is an opportunity to contribute to a company that has been a cornerstone of postal services for over 500 years and is now looking to expand its Commercial IT and Parcels team.

**Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and deliver change projects successfully.
  • Provide inspirational leadership within a matrix management structure.
  • Communicate effectively with a broad audience, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Maintain progress and resolve issues with resilience and persistence.
  • Delegate and negotiate effectively, maintaining perspective in challenging situations.
  • Manage stakeholders and team dynamics proficiently.
  • Apply commercial acumen and value-driven supplier management.
  • Oversee financial management aspects of the project.
  • Support the project team with technical knowledge for issue resolution.
  • Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Set clear targets and hold individuals, teams, and suppliers accountable.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering change projects.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder, and people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain perspective under pressure.
  • Commercial awareness and financial management experience.
  • Good technical knowledge, preferably with experience in IT development lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall).
  • Desirable: Experience with system integration, frameworks, API development, and Agile/Lean methodologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Jira, HP Application Lifecycle Management, and MS Office tools.
