The Company
We have a unique opportunity which has arisen with a fantastic membership organisation within the leisure sector. With over 1500 members at the heart of the organisation who are collectively responsible for over 60% of the industry's revenue, they are committed to supporting their members to grow the industry sustainably.
The organisation are pivotal in creating opportunities for members via global events and a huge 10 day industry event in the UK held annually and hosting over 100,000 visitors and 750+ brands.
The team are extremely passionate and dedicated to their members and the success of the industry they specialize in so this is a great opportunity to join an enthusiastic and hard working team to deliver an innovative and large scale greenfield event.
The Role
They are now looking for an Event Director/Head of Events to join them and lead on the delivery of the above mentioned events. Responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with SLT to develop and deliver the events strategy
- Line management of the event operations team and freelancers
- Develop strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Manage and liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
- Develop proposals
- Identify areas to develop events year on year
- Oversee the install of infrastructure and facilities onsite
- Responsible for budget management and forecasting
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the management of greenfield sites and events including temporary infrastructure. You will also have the ability to lead a team and develop the event strategy with financial consideration.
