About The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Biased Engineer to join our team on a full time permanent basis.
We are a unique team of facilities professionals based in the UK, dedicated to maintaining prestigious workplaces of a global law firm. The role will involve general maintenance, statutory compliance checks, and fabric maintenance skills within a facilities maintenance environment.
We prioritise client satisfaction, so your ability to engage with clients, provide optimal solutions, and maintain a professional appearance is essential. Flexibility is key, as early starts and late finishes may be necessary to minimise disruption to clients.
The role will require client engagement and a willingness to provide the best possible solutions to meet the clients needs, so you will be required to maintain a smart appearance. You must have a good understanding of both spoken and written English.
Experience of working with a CAFM system is desirable as all work is managed via a CAFM based solution
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Focus on all electrical work
- Ensure timely completion of Reactive Works orders and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness, and contract profitability.
- Support the integrated delivery of contracted services, emphasising safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- To be contactable, in an FM emergency, outside of working hours via the Security control room should the need arise, make operational decisions, and coordinate an appropriate response to ensure business continuity.
- Planning, inspecting, and carrying out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and responding to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
- Carry out reactive and planned services in a range of environments, including offices, commercial, distribution, and industrial premises.
- Carry out statutory inspection of assets, including Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature checks, Fire Door inspection and repairs, Plumbing repairs, Lighting checks including basic replacements, and other minor reactive works.
- Perform fabric work such as plastering, painting and decorating, and carpentry.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, providing updates on the status of work orders and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, including the completion of work orders and any issues encountered, and provide regular reports to management.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- Hold a UK driving licence (desirable not essential)
- Time-served with maintenance experience.
- 18th edition or equivalent
- HVAC qualification (desirable not essential)
- Familiarity with safety documentation
