About the Role
Join my client's experienced commercial investment team as an Estates Surveyor. This team manages over 100 tenants in properties generating over £20m in rental income. You'll assist with lease negotiations, service charges, and rent reviews, working alongside managing agents to secure favourable terms. You'll also contribute to property disposal and sale activities aligned with the council's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and manage lease events, service charges, and rent reviews.
- Collaborate with managing agents to negotiate effective terms.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and professional codes of conduct.
- Analyse technical information to develop commercial judgements and provide advice.
- Maintain up-to-date asset records through effective case management and lease data systems.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including managing agents, tenants, and advisors.
Requirements
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., full membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards it with a degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience influencing stakeholders and partners.
- Knowledge of property management, including rents, leases, and service charges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
