Salary: £30k + Bonus + Company benefits package

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Do you have proven experience within demand planning and supply planning with strong analytical skills and want to work for an organisation where you can have a positive impact on the business's continuous improvement strategies and implementation? If so, I have a great opportunity for a degree educated individual that can demonstrate a proven track record of practical application of analysis within the manufacturing industry and implementing improved processes and efficiencies based out of their offices in Uckfield.

The role is to manage the end-to-end supply chain product ranges through automated or manual replenishment, maximising service to customers whilst optimising cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand planning - responsible for executing the demand planning process.
  • Analysing trends, reviewing forecast exceptions and being accountable for creating a robust demand plan to maximise service and minimise cost.
  • Understand and become an expert on stocking policy and product life cycle management.
  • Ensuring inventory exceptions are reviewed routinely and appropriate action taken to maximize stock outs and obsolete stock.
  • Accountable for executing the monthly stock and pallet forecast.
  • Analysing inventory changes and providing recommendations to achieve stock targets, reduce overstocks and improve inventory days.
  • Lead projects for continuous improvements and support the Supply Chain Manager on other projects providing key data for input to formal improvement projects.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive process changes.
  • Identify and resolve gaps within the ERP and forecasting system and run periodic audits.
  • Monthly reporting across the supply chain developing reports/dashboards for the department.
  • Using core supply IT systems Efacs and Slim 4 to support the team with queries and build skills in PowerBI to improve reports and dashboards.

To apply for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience within demand planning and supply planning ideally within the manufacturing industry.
  • Ideally educated to degree level (Maths, Business or Science).
  • Experience of forecast and replenishment systems ideally Slim 4 and Efacs.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a track record in the practical application of analysis and implementation of improved outcomes.
  • Ability to work well collaboratively, build strong relationships across teams with supply chain and suppliers.
  • Strong IT skills including advanced Excel.
  • Good understanding of KPI's, stock, service and inventory days.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise effectively.
