Based in London, seeking an exceptional Head of Electronics to join dynamic team and help bring ground-breaking product to market.

The Role

As Head of Electronics, you'll own the complete electronics development lifecycle of flagship product, from prototype refinement through to production. This includes:

  • PCBA layout and design
  • Firmware development
  • System integration
  • Team building and leadership
  • Manufacturing oversight

Product combines sophisticated electromechanical systems including motors, valves, heaters, fans, various sensors, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Work in a collaborative, in-office environment where flexibility and cross-functional engagement are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

  • 12+ years of experience in electronics development

  • Proven track record in consultancy, SMEs, or start-up environments

  • Experience with:

  • Capacitive display integration

  • Product development through to production

  • Altium, KiCAD, VS Code, or Github

  • C/C++, FreeRTOS, ESP-IDF, LVGL, I2C Communication

  • Strong lab skills and troubleshooting abilities

  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Experience

  • Background in consumer appliances involving air, heat, or water systems
  • Experience with IoT connected devices
  • Team leadership experience
