An excellent opportunity for an ambitious, commercially-minded individual to join a highly successful business within a thriving sector.
The role is responsible for assisting with newly acquired businesses and ensuring proper processes and financial controls are in place.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day financial accounting function for the specific division
- The design and execution of key financial controls
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Deliver timely and accurate reporting of KPIs
- Review & identify areas of improvement in financial processes, controls & reporting
- Review and challenge financial performance information
- Build relationships between the newly acquired teams and their division
- Support and guide on preparation of annual budgets.
- Prepare annual audit file for presentation to the company's auditors
- Support ad hoc activities as requested
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis, review and challenge of Management Information
- Preparation of the annual budget and forecasting
- Management and improvements to cash flow
- Assess the existing financial processes and controls of existing and newly acquired businesses
- Implement ways of working
- Design and execution of an effective month-end close process
- Support in the development of Systems Notes
- Build relationships between newly acquired teams and their division
- Planning and co-ordination of internal and external audits
- Support ad hoc projects or activities as required
Requirements
- Must be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships
- Experience implementing processes and controls
- Highly analytical, have excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience of being able to build relationships across all levels
- Able to think on your feet and adapt quickly
- Excellent experience using Excel for analysis and forecasting
