About Our Client:

Our client is a leading infrastructure company based in Guildford and they are currently seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their vibrant team!

As an HR Generalsit you will be working closely with the head of HR and will be responsible for delivery of a full range of employment relations and human resource services.

You will work closely with line managers and employees, providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities.

This role would suit someone who is confident working in a stand alone role within a fast-paced environment and wants to make this role their own!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in conjunction with line managers
  • Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases
  • Support all managers on Performance Management issues, including absence, conduct and Health & Safety.
  • Contribute to strategies and procedures to promote the health and well-being of employees.
  • Provide data and reports to the Management Team as required
  • Support with the design and implement the Performance Development Review process.
  • Conduct job evaluations.
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health as required and managing the process.
  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements.

Skills/ Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in managing employee relations cases
  • Experience using CASCASE/ HRIS (Desirable)
  • Proficient in using HR systems and MS Office suite
  • CIPD or relevant HR qualification (Desirable)
