Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join their team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Identify vehicle issues accurately and recommend appropriate repair methods and replacement parts for optimal performance.
- Perform vehicle servicing following the standard operating procedures outlined by the central engineering department.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the complete overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems, covering various components such as engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems, and E.C.U. circuits.
- Possess thorough familiarity with all pertinent diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to multi-meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges, and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.
- Prioritize the well-being and safety of oneself, colleagues, customers, clients, and visitors by adhering to health, safety, welfare, environmental, and fire safety protocols, including understanding emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and take proactive measures to identify and report any unsafe practices or safety risks within the organization.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant company and policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 1 & 2) in automotive engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in the safe operation of workshop equipment and experienced in the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a full PCV license and forklift truck license if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks and procedures.
