Finance Director - From £100-120k plus car, bonus & share options - Brentwood
My client, an innovative company working in the services sector, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Director who will report directly into the CEO. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the company. This role is pivotal in supporting our acquisitive growth strategy, managing complex financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of the company's monthly management accounts to ensure that they are presented accurately and on time.
- Prepare Group consolidation and reporting on monthly basis to HQ Finance Team.
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements together with Corporation Tax filings.
- Manage and address accounting audit, internal audit and tax audit issues as they arise.
- Model and monitor cashflow to understand impact and advise management.
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
- Direct and control finance team members to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
- Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
Key skills:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar senior finance role, preferably in a growing and acquisitive company.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong experience using ERP systems and making systems improvements (e.g. Sage)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Project lead experience
- Proven track record of driving positive change and transformation
