Job Title: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager

Location: Congleton, CW12 1UW

Salary: Dependent upon experience.

Job type: Full time, 40 hours per week over 5 days (7am – 4pm)

Fine Decor Wallcoverings Ltd is a leading Wallcoverings Manufacturer based in Congleton, Cheshire and is part of the York Design Group.

The Role:

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to lead and develop the team.

The successful candidate should have experience in a similar role, or be ready to take the next step up in their career journey.

Managing the Supply Chain & Logistics Department the role is key to ensuring that the warehouse and customer service operations run smoothly. The role will manage the day to day operations of logistics, warehouse, shipping and sales order processing functions.

The Logistics Manager will lead, motivate and direct the team, and drive forward improvements in processes to efficiencies, accuracy and profitability

Other key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Developing and overseeing management systems to implement robust functional systems and controls
  • Ensuring the management and control of costs through the supply chain, identifying opportunities to minimise cost and improve service
  • Manage and optimise management KPIs
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for all warehouse activity, including space management, productivity, shipping and change management, inventory accuracy and reporting
  • Manage carriers and pickup times to ensure all deliveries meet customer promise and resolve non-attendance
  • Accountable for having the correct stock in the right location at the right time

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills – the role liaises heavily with cross functional teams and customers
  • The ability to influence and drive process improvement/best practice
  • A knowledge of SAP is required and solid exposure to Excel
  • Can demonstrate a highly collaborate approach; ability to work with and through others across business/functional lines
  • Can do attitude - the ambition and drive to challenge, deliver excellence and be positive about change
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Be passionate about delivering excellent customer service
