Our client based in Middlesex, is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team for a 12 month maternity contract.
Purpose of the role: To support compliance, product development and operational teams with technical and nutritional expertise. Must have a good understanding of label specifications as well as nutrition.
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all information is provided to the customer timeously
- Ensure correct entry of data onto the system in terms of dietary requirements to ensure a safe and reasoned choice from the available menus
- Entering of data into nutrition software to calculate intake per meal/product
- Supplier approval in terms of and pre-packaged food
- Ensure labelling requirements are me
- Supplier liaison
- Internal procedures audits
- Attend meetings
Requirements:
- Food Science / Technology Degree
- Legal Labelling Certification: Food and drink labelling
- Relevant experience within the Food Industry
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide coaching and training to the team
