Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: Circa £45-60K

I am delighted to be working with a superb market-leading healthcare company that are seeking an In-House Solicitor to join their dedicated legal team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work as part of the in-house legal team handling a varied portfolio including medical malpractice claims, contract drafting, and regulatory matters, as well as guidance on all legal matters within the business.
  • Act as Panel Solicitor, managing discussions with insurers, Solicitor firms, and party litigants.
  • Manage an individual pre-litigated and litigated caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Provide succinct advice/reports and obtain instructions from key stakeholders including Board members and insurers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor with either In-House Experience and/or a solid understanding of medical malpractice/personal injury litigation.
  • Experience of autonomously managing an individual caseload, and also working well as part of a team.
  • Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of business needs with a willingness to research and advise on all areas of law.
  • Excellent IT and administrative skills.
  • Dual-qualification in Scots and English Law is an advantage.
