***Long term to permanent position matching MPS 1o UPS 3 on the fringe scale
What is Alternative Provision?
Often referred to as PRU's, Alternative Provision (AP's) offers students who are struggling in mainstream settings the chance to continue their education with an individualised support plan in place that aims to help them achieve their full potential. Although some of the students have Special Needs, AP's are not SEN Schools, with many of the students having complex reasons as to why they are unable to cope in mainstream.
This group of 4 schools located across Herts works with students between the ages of 4 and 16, supporting them to achieve their best.
What are the schools looking for?
- Qualified teachers with QTS - Experienced or ECT's welcomed
- Art, Design & Technology, English, Science (Biology), Maths and P.E needed
- Desire to work with children from challenging backgrounds
- Happy to teach in small classes (6 maximum)
- Ability to commit to a long-term role in one of the St Albans, Watford or Hatfield locations
