Fabric Technician
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30
Location: Euston
Job Purpose
As a Fabric Technician, you will be part of a large engineering team providing reactive maintenance to building services and to maintain the fabric of the buildings and compliance across sites.
Day to day responsibilities
- Painting & Decorating
- Tiling
- Minor plumbing/leak detection
- Basic Carpentry
- Replacing door handles / doors
- Keep logbooks up to date
- Unblocking sinks/toilets
- Changing lamps
- Proactively identifying and reporting faults
- Escorting sub-contractors
- Keeping a PDA up to date
Knowledge
- Must have a good knowledge of plumbing,
- Must have good understanding of tiling, carpentry.
- Must be able show good handyman skills.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years commercial building experience, such as hospitals, schools, residential buildings, university's, offices.
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
