HR Assistant

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a boutique London law firm, in their search for a HR Assistant. The HR Assistant will work as part of the Operations Team and report into the HR Director.

Hours of work: 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday - Friday

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

Responsibilities:

  • Work in strict confidentiality.
  • Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Maintaining the HR database ensuring data integrity and accuracy of employee information.
  • Pre & Onboarding / Off Boarding arrangements.
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies.
  • Drafting or updating job descriptions, vetting all candidates, including Right to Work and DBS checks and reference checks', first day letters, exit letters.
  • Supporting the HR Director with employee queries.
  • Collating and reporting on HR management information.
  • Updating the current benefit plans with new changes; liaising with the providers.
  • Daily HR administration ie: liaising with Reception and HoD to advise of daily absences.
  • Provide diary management and adhoc support to the Cheif Finance and Operations Officer.

Requirements:

  • Educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent, ideally with a degree in HR or CIPD qualification.
  • Good understanding of HR processes.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Previous relevant experience of working within a Human Resources department, preferably legal or professional services.
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to deal with sensitive issues.
  • Proficient (Intermediate level - minimum) in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Document Management Systems and HR databases.

As the firm operate a hybrid working policy with typically 3 days in the office.
