Castlefield Recruitment are working with a prominent public sector organisation based in North Yorkshire, to recruit a Strategic Commercial Contract Officer to join on a permanent basis.
This organisation operates a flexible working policy, with the ability to work from home at least 3 days a week.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team. This role involves leading and managing complex and high-value procurement projects, supporting the purchasing function, and developing strong partnerships with key suppliers.
Role:
- Lead and manage complex and high-value procurement projects
- Oversee the purchasing function, with line management responsibility for a team of 2-3
- Develop and lead partnerships with key suppliers, managing contracts up to £5 million
- Negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders
Individual:
- MCIPS qualification or relevant experience is essential
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring staff
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
- Extensive experience managing all aspects of high-value procurement
