My client is seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Voids to over see a team dedicated to delivering a first class maintenance service to their empty properties.

My client are a well established social housing provider who owns and manages 30,000 homes for diverse communities across the West Midlands, from urban tower blocks to rural villages and towns.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- This role will report to the Director of Maintenance Operations. As part of the clients Wider Leadership Team (WLT) you will work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the delivery of getting properties ready to re-let and planned programme works whilst contributing to the wider strategy and operational management of Maintenance Operations.
- You will have overall responsibility for a team of circa 100 employees, 3 direct reports, providing direction and leadership to these teams you will take responsibility for the delivery of excellent operational performance whilst embedding and maintaining a tenant first culture across all teams.
- Ensuring that colleagues and contractors deliver a customer focused service is key, as is delivering repairs to empty properties and getting them ready to relet in line with performance targets.
- You will also be ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements and that Health and Safety is always managed effectively across the service.
Profile
A successful Head of Voids should have:
- A professional construction or building qualification or relevant experience.
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH Managing Safely.
- Proven ability to work at management level and provide high quality leadership.
- The ability and knowledge to deliver and maintain a zero-accident culture within a repair and maintenance contracting environment.
- Experience of working within the social housing sector delivering maintenance and building services or similar.
- Experience of managing a works/contractor team/department.
