I am currently recruiting for a Business Support Assistant on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Nottingham (NG2).
My client are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Business Support Assistant. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Nottingham, NG2. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed general administrator with a keen eye for detail. You will be in the Children's Social Care team.
Duties of the Business Support Assistant will include:
- Minute taking in sensitive meetings.
- Communicate effectively with the team via Microsoft tools.
- Updating internal databases.
- Receive and deal with emails, telephone calls as well as ensuring that visitors to the section are dealt with appropriately.
- To create, develop and maintain information systems and processes including Microsoft office packages to produce reports to assist services and officers across the department
- To undertake reception duties, meet and greet visitors, provide direction and give advice and guidance to basic enquiries.
- Booking venues.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience of providing business support in an office environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Minute taking experience and other associated tasks such as booking venues, sending out invitations, completing actions etc.
- Ability to handle potentially upsetting and distressing information concerning a child.
- Experience of data input and data management ensuring accuracy and where appropriate confidentiality
- Significant experience and competence using IT and common business support packages including word processing and spreadsheets
- A thorough knowledge of GDPR.
- Experience of providing information to the public or customers using good communication skills
This post is full time 37 hours per week, Monday- Friday 8.30am- 5pm. Pay rate is £12.18 per hour PAYE.
This role is Hybrid working, predominantly working from home, with ideally working from County Hall once a week
