Our client is an Award-Winning Broker who has grown organically for the last 40 years and are a Chartered Broker who are part of a Global Network working with Composite, Lloyds and Global Markets
Due to continued growth our client is looking to recruit an experience Commercial Broker / Handler to assist the Directors on a Book of Business which will contain Premiums to £1m per policy class
This role will also be client facing attending meetings with Clients in addition to Insurers and carriers
The role of Account Handler - General Commercial Insurance:
- Build strong relationships with clients and insurers
- Understand all of their general insurance needs across all classes of commercial insurances including scheme business - Construction Experience is Essential - Liability, CAR, Financial Lines,
- Handling premiums from 20k upwards per policy class
- Process renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business
- Be able to negotiate with Insurers and clients and attend meetings when required
- Assistance to an account Director in renewal reports and preparation.
The Requirements of the Account Handler - General Insurance:
- A strong background of General Commercial Insurance - a minimum of 5 years
- Live within commutable distance of the office or happy to relocate
- Previous use of Acturis would be desirable
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- CII Qualifications desirable for this position
