About the Role:
I am currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join my partner secondary school within Kirklees starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to students across various age groups, fostering a love for the language and culture, and contributing to the overall academic success of the students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the different learning styles of students.
- Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with the school's policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide pastoral support to students as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Spanish or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level is desirable.
- Excellent command of the Spanish language.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
