PARALEGAL - LITIGATION

COMPETITIVE SALARY

Our well-established client is looking for a Paralegal to provide high quality support to the Litigation Team. The department deals with Civil and criminal litigation, including fare evasion and employment settlement agreements.

Main tasks/Accountabilities

  • To make & receive telephone calls. Including arranging appointments, contacting third parties, taking payments, providing updates in a courteous, professional and efficient manner.
  • To open, close and archive electronic files.

To generate and send out invoices.

  • To accurately and carefully prepare letters and documents with supervision.
  • To accurately and contemporaneously record your time spent on a matter using the electronic case management system.
  • To diarise key dates through the electronic case management system.
  • To ensure that electronic files are well organised
  • To undertake administrative tasks such as scanning and photocopying.
  • To answer external incoming calls as part of the telephone rota.
  • To comply with all office procedure requirements

Knowledge/Qualifications

Degree or equivalent Ideally 2:1 or above LPC or equivalent

Skills/Abilities

High standard of verbal and written communication, excellent organisational skills, excellent client service, team working, quality focus, good IT skills

Experience;

Within a legal environment Essential

Within private practice Desirable

Within a Litigation Team Desirable
