Location: Leeds City Centre - Hybrid working options
Salary: £35,000
UK travel required

Our client is a global consultancy firm based in Leeds and following continued success at securing new and exciting projects, they are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Coordinator to join their SSHEQ team.

The role will work closely with the SSHEQ Business partner and will involve conducting reviews of accident, incident and near miss, analysing trends and reporting to the wider business. It will also involve creating and reviewing policies and procedures and developing guidance documents and provide technical answers to queries from the business around health and safety. It will also support with working towards achieving accreditations for the business including ISO, CHAS and SafeContractor.

We are looking for someone three years minimum in Health and Safety. You will have a minimum of a NEBOSH certificate and you will require a full driving licence as the role will involve UK travel when required.

Duties include:

  • Provide guidance and technical information to the wider business regarding health and safety queries
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, develop policies and procedures and create guidance documents
  • Support with incident investigations
  • Report on and review Accident, Incident and Near Miss incidents
  • Support with working towards ISO, CHAS and SafeContractor accreditations
  • Produce SSHEQ reports

Requirements for the role:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience within Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation
  • NEBOSH certificate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and part of the wider SSHEQ team
  • Ideally IOSH (Tech IOSH)
