A recent Bristol success story for my good friends that I have worked with for the past 5 years, who we're recently acquired and things are getting bigger and better!
They're a brilliant FinTech - forget everything you know or think about FinTech, no mega corp fluff here! They have developed a next generation platform for investment businesses and acquired about 18 months ago for multi mills!
The tech team is a solid 16, a mix of Golang Developers, Front-End (they work with Vue) and probably one of the best Flutter Developers around who you will work with + QA and Infra.
We are looking to support 4 software engineering hires to the business. Currently they work across two squads and keen to create a third. They are looking for 4 backend engineers, the dream would be some commercial Golang expereince but they are also open to folk who are working on a side project and/or just very intrested in learning and then switching to a new language. You will be paired up with a decided expereince Go engineer as a 'tech buddy' but also be invested in by the business to go on some courses to learn the ins and outs of Go!
Your experience:
- Strong backend expereince, they don't mind at all what language but Go is the preference.
- Understanding of relevant software design patterns and paradigms, such as OOAD, DDD, MVC, microservices, containers/orchestration or event-driven architecture
- Experience in creating performant, scalable, secure and well tested code.
- You take ownership of tasks and problems, clearing roadblocks and pulling in other people to help when needed.
- They are a google partner so ideally GCP expereince but they don't mind if your skilled using AWS or Azure either.

- The HashiCorp stack, such as Nomad, Terraform and Vault

- Salary: £60,000-£75,000- Annual Bonus: Discretionary
