Compliance Lead - insurance in personal life sector

Role Overview:

We are partnering with an insurance firm to hire a compliance manager who will report to the Head of Risk. Key focus of the role will be ensuring adherence to prudential and conduct regulations. This person will work closely with partner companies, leading risk planning initiatives, and employing a forward-thinking approach to enhance compliance and regulatory practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Policy and Procedure Management: Review and revise company policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor and analyse regulatory updates, providing insights on changes affecting the company.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement a compliance risk management plan to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Liaise with audit teams, track audit findings, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Culture and Communication: Promote a culture of compliance within the company and its intermediaries.

Requirements:

  • Professional certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consumer duty and conduct regulations, as well as strong insurance domain knowledge
  • Ability to develop and implement compliance strategies and risk management plans.
