  • Hours: 40 hours per week (8am-4pm)
  • Salary: £20,941 - £22,835 Annually

REED Education is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and innovative new school in Kidderminster. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Position:

  • Support pupils with their learning and general wellbeing in a caring and safe environment.
  • Assist with care needs and implement positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide a tailored approach to support individual children's needs.
  • Support the class teacher with high-quality educational activities and curriculum delivery.
  • Establish warm, caring, and supportive relationships with pupils.
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development in pupils.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a warm, caring personality with a passion for SEN support.
  • Has effective behaviour management skills.
  • Brings previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN background.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.
  • Ideally working towards or has a Level 2 award in Support Work in Schools or equivalent.
  • Has GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above.
  • Understands Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Is committed to the role and treats each child as an individual.

Rates of Pay:

  • A competitive annual salary between £20,941 - £22,835.
