This is a hands-on role working closely with teams across the business to support with key business decision making. The role requires strong management accounting and financial reporting skills, and the ability to lead a team of Management Accountants and transactional finance.

Description
- Overseeing the company's accounting and financial systems
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
- Developing budgets and financial plans for the company
- Analysing financial performance and forecast longer-term horizons
- Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Tracking the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Balance sheet preparation to a strict deadline
- Management of a small team
- Managing the sales tax submission processes
- Continuous process improvement
- Preparation of management accounts and leading year end audit process
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- Professional Accountancy qualification or equivalent
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong understanding of business tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Continuous improvement mentality and an eye for detail
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
