Tradewind is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student in a vibrant primary school located in the Cheadle area of Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in a child's educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support and guidance to a specific student, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities, adapting materials to meet the student's learning style and abilities.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help with the student's personal care and mobility if required.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to the student's education.
- Encourage the student's social interaction and involvement in school activities.
Requirements:
- Must have a current DBS on the update service.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a 1:1 capacity, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
