Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity within special educational needs. Do you hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or have experience supporting children with additional needs? This wonderful Special School is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and friendly team of Classroom Assistants and TA's in supporting primary aged children with complex learning needs.

This outstanding setting has brilliant teaching and learning practices and provides a nurturing environment for staff and pupils. As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing classroom support to small groups and may be asked to deliver 1-2-1 intervention sessions. You will be working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants and Classroom Assistants to ensure that the needs of every child are met. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however SEN experience is essential.

Job Role:

  • Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS2 children with additional needs
  • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
  • Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivery of lessons
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
