Accounts Payable Clerk

Join a leading care home group as an Accounts Payable Senior, where you will be part of an expanding finance department. This role is crucial in supporting the Assistant Accountants with the management of cost invoices for all care homes. You will work closely with the finance team and the Financial Administrators at each care home to ensure smooth financial operations.
Day to Day of the role:
- Process purchase invoices and staff expenses efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices and purchase orders.
- Perform routine supplier statement reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
- Monitor and clear suspense accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Maintain vendor profiles and process checks, ensuring up-to-date information.
- Circulate remittance advices to suppliers and stakeholders.
- Handle all vendor correspondences via phone or email, providing excellent customer service.
- Investigate and resolve any enquiries and irregularities in a timely and effective manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
- Strong understanding of the purchasing to payables process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
