Are you ready to make a significant impact in the lives of unpaid carers We have a brand new, exciting opportunity to join Sheffield's leading provider of services for adult unpaid carers as a Partnerships & Engagement Officer.

Position: Partnerships & Engagement Officer

Location: Sheffield - hybrid working options available after a successful probation period

Hours: 35 hours per week or Full Time. Working Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with core hours for all employees are 10am to 4pm.

Salary: £28,550 - £34,500. (Staff are expected to start at the bottom of the grade)

Contract: Fixed Term to March 2026 (possible extension)

Benefits: 24 days plus 3 days between Christmas and New Year (as the office is closed) plus 8 days bank holidays, plus an additional 5 days' leave following 5 years continuous service. All leave is pro rata. Pension Company Contribution 6.5%, Health Care Cash Plan

About the Role

In this newly created role, you will work closely with businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, and statutory and voluntary sector partners to support employed unpaid carers, particularly around fuel poverty, and financial resilience.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining relationships with statutory partners and businesses, delivering programmes that help establish carer support groups, and collaborating on the Fuel Poverty Strategy Group. You will also be responsible for providing vital information and resources on energy efficiency and income maximisation, facilitating workshops and training sessions, and leading outreach activities to support carers. Full training will be provided on this information.

About You

As Partnerships Engagement Officer you will be a proactive and passionate individual with a strong background in delivering outreach and engagement programmes. You should have excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the capability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in reaching and engaging different audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver work that meets funders' or contractual requirements.
  • Experience in delivering projects to target and demonstrating impact.
  • Exceptional influencing skills and the ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with CRM systems.
  • A flexible, pragmatic, and creative approach to problem-solving.

The charity formed 30 years ago, is the city's leading provider of services for adult unpaid carers. Part of a vibrant voluntary sector and a member of the national Carers Trust network, they deliver the contract for the city's Carers Service on behalf of Sheffield City Council.
