Reed Scientific is looking for a proactive and efficient Business Development Associate to play a crucial role in identifying growth opportunities, supporting the sales and marketing efforts of the broader BD team, and expanding the market presence of a dynamic London based medical device company. The primary focus of this role is to assist the BD team in increasing sales and revenue growth of their product and services.
Key Responsibilities
Support of the BD Team:
- Assist in planning and executing the sales and marketing efforts of the BD team.
- Update, manage, and enhance the CRM and other BD databases with market and customer intelligence.
- Implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Prepare reports on sales, market trends, and business development activities, providing insights and guidance based on data analysis.
Lead and Opportunities Scouting:
- Execute customer scouting and contact actions to meet the sales objectives of the BD team.
Market Understanding:
- Monitor and identify trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities within the relevant medical device sector.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients.
- Manage client contacts and interface through lead and opportunity initiation and delivery.
Skills & Experience
- A 2:1 or above bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline related to pharmaceutical sciences
- Strong interest in a sales and business development role, and an awareness or experience with CRM software and lead generation tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly motivated and target-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle rejection and remain resilient.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
