Lead salesforce Engineer

The Lead Salesforce Engineer is a senior role responsible for technical leadership of a cross functional team, building and delivering business outcomes through software.

The role involves being hands on and leading others in activities such as;

  • Designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting software using agile and DevOps practises
  • Building, configuring, and supporting the route to production facilitated through automated CI / CD pipelines.
  • Developing and supporting the environments up to and including production
  • Improving the reliability and quality of the software solutions

The Lead Engineer supports the Engineering Practice Lead to adopt best practice into their assigned engineering team and across the engineering community.

  • Possess strong Leadership and teamwork skills, using communication and problem-solving to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver customer focussed results.
  • Setting the standards: Ensuring that the aligned product team has the frameworks, standards, and ways of working in place to consistently deliver quality.
  • Security Best Practices: Awareness of security principles and implementation of best practices to ensure secure software delivery and infrastructure management.
  • Continuous Learning: Coaching and developing skills within the engineering team, driving a community of practice and keeping up-to-date with the rapidly evolving technologies and trends in the industry.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Ability to set up monitoring and logging solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Strong experience working and leading within an agile development methodology.
  • Experience in automation, including testing and BDD.
  • Excellent time and self-management through effective planning & prioritisation of tasks.
  • Experience of working within a regulated industry, and particularly Financial Services / the Life & Pensions industry is desirable.

Specifically for this role which will be the technical Lead for our Salesforce community, we're also looking for the following:

  • Familiarity with a range of development technologies, design patterns and tooling, using technologies such as Salesforce, database management, API's etc.
  • Proven track record of working with Salesforce as part of a wider integrated IT estate, ideally including legacy technology.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Experience with Salesforce CI/CD tools; Security Management; Data Management and Data Analysis; Process Automation
  • Ability to customise the user experience, manage profiles, etc.
  • Ability to design, build and maintain complex flows.
  • Strong background in Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Strong background in Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Familiarity and experience with Financial Services Cloud advantageous
  • Familiarity and experience with Marketing Cloud advantageous
  • Experience with other technologies (e.g. .NET and Cloud - ideally Azure) advantageous.
