I'm working with a client within the global logistics sector who are seeking a new skilled Sales Manager to join the team.

My client are well-established, having over 70 offices, with more than 3,000 employees across the globe!

Location - Essex - onsite working to begin with, with the opportunity to go hybrid later on

Salary £50-£60k with a £5k yearly car allowance - discretionary bonus on top of this

As the Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the businesses growth by expanding their client base and increasing revenue through strategic sales initiatives.

The role:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company targets.
  • Manage a team of sales representatives and provide training where needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as operations, customs, and Transport to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyse market trends and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to the businesses clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients and suppliers.
  • Track sales performance and make data-driven decisions to improve sales outcomes.
  • Develop relationships with potential clients by engaging in networking activities, making cold calls, and conducting client visits.

About you:

  • Demonstrated success in sales within the road freight sector - industry experience is essential for this role
  • Proficient understanding of road freight operations encompassing FTL/LTL, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-driven and target-oriented, with the capacity to operate both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to travel as necessary for client meetings and industry events.
