Interim HR Advisor - Employee Relations & Absence Management

Foxgroves are seeking an experienced HR professional for an interim HR Advisor role specialising in employee relations and absence management.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a vital role in advising and supporting line managers across the organisation on a range of employee relations matters. This is a hands-on position managing a caseload of disciplinaries, grievances and other ER issues as well as supporting with a variety of HR projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, consultations and negotiations
  • Providing guidance to line managers on ER policies, procedures and best practices
  • Conducting investigations and preparing management cases
  • Representing the organisation at hearings and appeals
  • Developing and delivering training to line managers on ER matters
  • Monitoring absence levels across the organisation
  • Partnering with line managers to address absence issues through advice, case conferences and absence review meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with absence policies and return-to-work procedures
  • Maintaining accurate employee relations and absence records
  • Supporting with recruitment nd payroll

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing a varied ER caseload as well as monitoring and controlling absence levels. Strong employment law knowledge, investigation skills and the ability to deal with challenging situations are essential. Excellent communication, advisory and training abilities are required.

This is an interim opportunity for 6-9 months, offering an excellent chance for an experienced ER/Absence professional to take on a key role within a supportive HR team.
