About the Role:
TimePlan Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Milton Keynes. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to inspire and educate students in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with the national curriculum for secondary Science.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, effectively managing student behavior to foster a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Individualised Support: Identify and support students with varying abilities and needs, implementing appropriate interventions to ensure all students can achieve their potential.
- Parent and Guardian Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest teaching strategies and educational research.
- Collaborative Work: Work collaboratively with colleagues, including teaching assistants and other support staff, to plan and deliver cohesive and comprehensive educational experiences.
- Extracurricular Activities: Engage in and support extracurricular activities related to mathematics, fostering a love of the subject beyond the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience in teaching secondary science in the UK is required. Experienced teachers are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize with students and understand their needs.
- Commitment: A dedicated and committed approach to teaching, with a passion for fostering a love of mathematics in students.
- DBS Check: Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
