Inspection Technician (NIGHTS) - Anodising / Uxbridge / Up to £36,600

Location / Hours
Location: Uxbridge
Hours: Full-time, Night Shift, Monday to Thursday
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection: Examine processed articles to ensure they meet the company's high-quality standards and process specifications.
- Packing: Pack articles according to customer specifications to protect them during transit.
- Customer Interaction: Welcome customers and couriers to the factory, and assign work accurately upon their arrival.
- Material Handling: Carefully handle and remove processed articles and masking materials post-processing.
- Process Understanding: Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Anodising process and the requirements for the end product.
- Documentation: Verify and confirm quantities and paperwork are correct before booking out articles.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and maintain a safe working environment.
- COSHH Regulations: Adhere to COSHH regulations and ensure the proper use and storage of Personal Protective Equipment and hazardous chemicals.
- Training: Train personnel as required to maintain uniformity across inspection processes.
- Communication: Liaise with the Night Shift Supervisor to coordinate daily tasks, communicate with delivery drivers and external couriers, and report packaging material shortages to senior management.
- Additional Duties: Undertake reasonable additional duties as instructed by the Senior Management team.

Experience & Qualifications

Desirable Experience:

Previous experience in a factory or warehouse environment.

Background in metal finishing or engineering.

Experience in inspection and packing.

Ability to read engineering drawings.

First Aid Certificate (training provided if necessary).

Manual Handling (training provided if necessary).

COSHH Training (training provided if necessary).

Health & Safety (training provided if necessary).
Salary / Benefits
- Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
- Holiday: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays
- Overtime: Paid at time and a third
- Company Bonus Scheme: Paid in November (subject to company performance and personal appraisals)
- Death in Service: 3x Annual Salary
