Field Service Engineer

Due to business growth my client, based in Ipswich, Suffolk, has an immediate requirement for a Field Service Engineer to join their existing team. The successful Field Service Engineer must have a strong multi skilled engineering background and have experience of working on compressed air systems, fans, motors, and pumps. The successful candidate will also spend 1 week a month working in the manufacturing workshop.

Please note, this role is covering across the UK, therefore there will be overnight stays required, which can vary, but will be working away from home Monday - Friday, so flexibility is required.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for travelling to customer sites across the UK to service and maintain their electromechanical equipment.
  • You will attend customer sites, carry out fault finding investigations, service, maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure the work conforms to their health, safety, and quality standards.

Field Service Engineer Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant recognised engineering qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering to a minimum level of NVQ level 2 or equivalent (ideally electrical NVQ Level 3)
  • 18th Edition - advantageous.
  • Ideally have experience of PLC's and 3 phase motors.
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Flexible with regards to being away overnight Monday to Friday.
  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
