Lettings Negotiator / Trainee

Our client is an independent lettings agency with a reputation for continuity, integrity and service that is second to none. They mainly deal in upmarket rental properties and operate from their prominent office in Guildford. Their culture is centred around excellence and pro-activity and their ethos is to be personal and warm in their approach to clients.

They are looking for an enthusiastic and Lettings Negotiator to join their small collaborative team. Your main remit would be to deliver exceptional service and results for landlords by ensuring our client's available register of high-quality properties are let quickly and on terms to suit.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Registering applicants and understanding their search requirements
  • Booking viewings, both from direct enquiries and database call-outs
  • Carrying out viewings
  • Managing landlord feedback
  • Generating offers and agreeing lets
  • Pre-tenancy compliance and administration.

Personal specification:

  • Experience is preferable but not strictly necessary
  • Natural rapport-building skills, with an interest in people
  • A flair for communication, with strong verbal and written skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to overcome objections and to create solutions
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A resilient and commercial attitude with the ability to identify opportunities for new business
  • Willingness to assist with other office activities as and when necessary
  • Full UK driving licence and own car.

The salary will be in the region of £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
