The Company

We are working with a market leading manufacturer who are experiencing significant growth. They have a clear path for future company growth and a track record of progressing their employee's careers. Due to continued growth & an internal promotion, they are looking to add a Quality Contract Technologist to their NPD team.

You will be joining a team of experienced industry professionals with a chance to gain exposure to a wide variety of process/NPD tasks in a fast-moving & expanding business.

The Role

The Quality Contract Technologist will support the NPD Department to provide Quality Contract writing and approval services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drawing on quality, bakery and manufacturing knowledge and providing ad hoc product quality information when requested.
  • Cross-functional internal and external stakeholder management, to promote collaborative ways of working.
  • Confidently facilitate a collective approval of the QC
  • Leading the QC Technician to efficiently obtain sufficient data from trials and management of the QC filing systems and trackers
  • Attending Internal and customer meetings in a professional manner

What We Are Looking For

The Quality Contract Technologist will have atleast 2 years experience within a Major UK retailer, with a customer orientated mindset and knowledge of customer staged and gate processes and critical path time lines.

Ideally you will be/have:

  • Level of understanding around organolpetic assessment, customer quality expectations, key quality attributes and Quality Control Points
  • Bakery/Desserts product knowledge and good understanding of methods of manufacturings ideally from a Degree in Food Science and Technology/ related subject or 2 years experience in the food industry in NPD/other functions
  • Demonstratable experience in working under pressure
  • Good communications skills, with the confidence and ability to interact with people, communicating clearly, fluently and openly with all levels of the business, both written and verbal
  • Good data analysis skills and experience of working in an environment based upon high detail/proof reading/accurate data transfer is required, whilst working towards deadlines.
  • Full UK Clean driving license
  • Fully Competent with MS Office Excel, Word and Teams
