This leading Legal Firm in Guilford is requiring a Finance Assistant due to substantial growth. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the Company. Your primary responsibilities will include managing office and client accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. You will handle invoicing, monitor payments, and reconcile bank statements to maintain financial integrity. Your role will also involve liaising with clients and other stakeholders to resolve any financial queries, ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction.

In this role, you will work closely with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently will be crucial in maintaining the Company's financial health. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance or accounting, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Account Management

o Handle the administration of office accounts, including invoicing and processing payments

  • Client Account Management

o Handle the administration of client accounts, including invoicing, processing payments, and managing client funds in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Transaction Processing and Reconciliation

o Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently

o Reconcile bank statements

o Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and reflect the true financial status of client and firm accounts.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

o Ensure all financial practices comply with legal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, including the preparation and submission of tax returns and VAT filings.

  • Communication and Query Resolution

o Act as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding financial matters

o Address queries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of customer service and client satisfaction
