Communications Officer - 12-month Temp - £21.65 per hour - London Hybrid
Intergovernmental body is seeking an experienced Communications Officer to provide support to their Communications Division at their central London headquarters.
This is a temporary position to start ASAP for a 12 month period initially and will pay £21.65 per hour PAYE.
The role is hybrid and will involve working at their central London offices 2-3 days per week.
The Communications Officer will support the implementation of the organisations Strategic Communications Strategy.
The role involves proactive media outreach, as well as producing compelling content for digital and social media. The Communications Officer is expected to work closely with teams across the organisation to ensure that the organisation's scope of work is effectively presented to key target audiences. It will also support the division's multi-media outputs, notably the development of quality audio-visual material.
The ideal Communications Officer will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, International Affairs or any other appropriate field.
- Previous experience as a reporter or correspondent in a media organisation, and/or in an external communications role.
- Competent in audio-visual production or print journalism.
- Experience in covering political, parliamentary, social or economic issues; appreciation and knowledge of international and or diplomatic issues;
- Experience of working as a Press Officer or involvement in news management; event management.
