Our client is currently seeking a talented Finance Control Analyst to join their team in Chester on a fixed-term contract of 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the leading financial institutions and contribute to their responsible growth.

The Team:

Joining the Commodities team consisting of 20 members split across Chester and India, you will work on a global scale, collaborating with the Finance team in New York and trading desks in London, New York, and Singapore.

Daily Duties include:

  • Producing daily P&L, monthly Valuations functions, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conducting balance sheet analysis and ensuring well-controlled financial reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance controls, processes, applications, and data sources.
  • Collaborating with the Front Office to explain P&L and Valuations metrics.
  • Providing control oversight and business partnership support for new products and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with team members on projects and initiatives.
  • Monitoring daily and monthly KPIs.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to review, debate, and challenge.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, control deliverables, and guide junior team members.
  • Setting high control standards and leading by example.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to respond promptly to time-sensitive requests.
  • Professional qualification preferable.
