Salary Package: Circa £70,000 per annum basic salary, plus benefits and bonus

Location: West London

Job Type: Full Time

Overview: Senior Embedded Software Engineer required to join a dynamic and innovative team developing cutting-edge embedded software for space and satellite systems. This role is ideal for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in electronic engineering, working closely with hardware design. You will be responsible for developing low-level, real-time software solutions that are critical to high-reliability systems in sectors such as automotive, defense, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop embedded software architectures for complex communications equipment
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to design interfaces like Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I2C.
  • Develop high-quality, modular, and reusable embedded C software for bare-metal or FreeRTOS environments.
  • Manage software requirements and ensure traceability using industry best practices.
  • Participate in the full product lifecycle, from refining specifications to production.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, both locally and with international teams at the headquarters, to deliver high-performance, reliable software.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong background in electronic engineering and experience working closely with hardware design engineers
  • Proficiency in Embedded C and experience with bare-metal / FreeRTOS experience.
  • Hands-on experience with designing and debugging digital and analog hardware interfaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in high-reliability embedded software development
