Senior Ecologist Responsibilities:
Based in Edinburgh's historic Old Town, this Senior Ecologist role at this environmental consultancy will consist of carrying out thorough ecological surveys, as well as overseeing projects, high-quality report writing, and mentoring and supervising junior team members. The role will also entail liaising and communicating with clients, contractors, and the public, and building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
Senior Ecologist Criteria:
- BSc or higher in related subject e.g., Zoology (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Substantial relevant experience
- Understanding of current UK legislation with regards to ecology and conservation
- Report writing experience (PEAs and EIAs)
- CIEEM membership
- Protected species licence(s) would be beneficial
