The role

As a Onboarding and Induction Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Onboarding and Induction Coordinator will assist in managing the holistic induction process for all new starters to the Babcock business based at Rosyth. They will ideally hold knowledge of the Marine sector business unit or be able to gain this knowledge quickly and therefore be able to conduct site tours on behalf of the business, to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Responsible for liaising with relevant parties in advance of 'day 1' to ensure new starters will arrive on time and will have everything they need (e.g., People Centre and on-boarding information, Security team and baseline clearance).
  • Responsible for meeting and supporting all new starters on 'day 1' albeit in person or those working remotely.
  • Provide a credible Rosyth site tour to enable new starters to have an initial introduction to the size and scale of our business. Site tours may in addition be conducted for alternative internal/ external stakeholders.
  • Provide a professional and confident induction with relevant guidance and company information such as business steam introductions, site practicalities and useful things to know. This will likely be in the format of a presentation and/or video format.
  • Conduct 'follow ups' with new starters between 1-2 months after starting with the company, to ensure the induction had provided everything they needed. Taking feedback and making any adjustments required.

This role is part time, 30 hours per week and is on a fixed term basis. Typical working days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and half day on a Friday. Typical starting time will be 06:30 am with flexibility on finish times.
